Sandy Spring Bancorp has selected Gary Nakamoto as a member of its board of directors. He is the principal of The Nakamoto Group.

Nakamoto is also a member of the AAA Mid-Atlantic Washington Area Regional Board, a trustee for the Northern Virginia Technology Council TechPAC. Previously, he was associated with Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and Base Technologies.
