Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has launched the Currency Alpha fund, which will employ a quantitative model, Citywire reports. Roddy Macpherson, the investment director for currencies at SWIP, will manage the new vehicle.
The portfolio will diversify itself across developed market currencies, including sterling cash assets. The currency fund will have a limited capacity of £400 million and operate with a performance fee.
