The Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) has got recognition as an accredited standards development organization from the American National Standards Institute, Business Insurance reports. RIMS will now be able to develop risk management standards.
The New York-based society will start the process of building standards in 2012. RIMS set up its standards and practices committee in 2009 to ensure consistent, high levels of risk management practices for organizations worldwide.
