JP Morgan Chase’s former swaps executive, Raymond May, will roll out a new derivatives-trading platform in the next quarter, Morningstar reports. The ODEX platform will initially aim at credit and interest-rate derivatives, but will later be expanded to other asset classes, such as currency derivatives, downstream. May is also planning to sell a stake in the North Carolina-based firm to raise operating capital. The platform, which has been in test-mode since September last year, is based on the Dodd-Frank law passed last July.
