Standard & Poor’s reports that the delinquency rate of loans from state housing finance agencies hit a record high of 7.5% at the end of 2010. S&P analysts said they expect loans to continue to deteriorate “for several years,” but that the delinquency increase would not likely result in negative rating actions. The credit rating agency attributed the high rate to the large number of loans originated during the housing boom.
