Banks in the Eurozone have slightly eased credit standards in all loan categories in the first quarter, according to the European Central Bank. In its latest Bank Lending Survey, the ECB attributed the net tightening in standards mainly to a “decrease in the impact of banks’ risk perceptions.” The most noticeable improvement was seen in short-term loans, while credit standards on long-term loans remained unchanged.
