BofA Trims Consumer Banking Unit

Bank of America has cut over 100 jobs in its consumer and small business banking unit.

Bank of America (BofA) has cut over 100 jobs in its consumer and small business banking unit, The Wall Street Journal reports. The layoffs are part of its plans to restructure its consumer banking unit.

The lay offs were spread across the country and account for a small percentage of the division’s 95,000 workers. The North Carolina-based lender also seeks to consolidate around 10% of its branches over the next few years.
