ICE Futures Canada has listed a new type of canola options contracts, Portage Online reports. Serial options will be available for months in which regular options and futures are not traded.

The contracts will offer more flexibility for farmers pricing crops and for speculators looking for capital gain potential, adds Alberta Farmer Express. At present, options contracts are available for the five months of the year with a futures contract.
