New Mexico State Investment Council is planning to hire two to four managers for its $2 billion active domestic large-cap equity portfolio.

New Mexico State Investment Council is planning to hire two to four managers for its $2 billion active domestic large-cap equity portfolio, Pensions & Investments reports. The $14.7 billion Santa Fe–based investment council will be issuing the request for proposals on November 7.

The system’s incumbent domestic large-cap equity managers, ClearBridge Advisors, Thornburg Investment Management and Lombardia Capital Partners, will be invited to bid again. Meanwhile, the council has pledged $50 million to private equity fund Platinum Equity Capital Partners III and has re-hired current private equity consultant Sun Mountain Capital.
