The volume of conduit loans in commercial mortgage-backed securities resolved with losses rose 11% in May from the preceding month to nearly $1.4 billion, according to Trepp. It was the second-highest volume since Trepp began tracking the number in January 2010, with the highest recorded last January. The average loss severity in May was 43.2%, up from just under 40% in April.
