Following the semi-annual evaluation of the Nasdaq Clean Edge Green Energy Index, effective from September 19, Amyris, Elster Group, IXYS Corp., KiOR and Solazyme will be added to the index. The index tracks the performance of clean-energy companies publicly traded in the U.S.
The review has led to the removal of 11 securities from the index, including Advanced Battery Technologies, Active Power, Amtech Systems and Ballard Power Systems. Among the eligibility criteria for inclusion in the index are meeting minimum market value requirements, average daily share volume and price.
