IDB To Lend $50M To Jamaica

The Jamaican government will receive a new $50 million policy base loan.

The Jamaican government will receive a new $50 million policy base loan, Go Jamaica reports. The new credit facility has been provided by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

The country intends to use the proceeds from loan to protect basic health, nutrition, early childhood development and education. The new loan, which is for a period of 20-years, also has a five-year grace period.
