Investors withdrew $5.1 billion, or 6 percent of assets, from the SPDR S&P 500 ETF on Monday, Index Universe reports. The iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund and the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF witnessed outflows of $464.1 million and $271.1 million, respectively. The overall net outflows were $4.35 billion and U.S.-listed exchange-traded fund (ETF) assets dropped from more than $1.052 trillion on Friday to about $1.037 trillion on Monday. The Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF saw redemptions of $134.3 million, amounting to 3 percent of its assets. The Rydex CurrencyShares Canadian Dollar ETF experienced $95.3 million withdrawals, or 9 percent of its assets.
