Swiss technology firm LPO Ventures is unveiling an interactive auction platform to trade privately owned shares and investments in the U.K., Finextra reports. FirstPEX will initially be available to Swiss investors; however, founders are seeking approval from other European regulatory bodies and expect to partner with a Financial Services Authority-regulated body in the U.K. before the end of this year.
The platform will let European investors and company owners use an open market trading platform to buy and sell stock in privately owned European companies. Entrepreneurs will be able to trade holdings in their privately owned companies with new investors with transparency and liquidity.
