The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) has appointed Martijn Heijden as Chairman, Money Marketing reports. He has been serving the council as deputy chairman since January 2009. Replacing Colin Walsh, Heijden will be supported by two deputy chairmen Nigel Terrington, CEO of Paragon Group, and Stephen Noakes, commercial director for mortgages at LBG. Prior to CML, Heijden was head of lending at HSBC.
