Momentive Performance Materials Holdings is seeking to raise around $862.5 million in an initial public offering (IPO), Reuters reports. The New York-based specialty chemicals and materials manufacturer has also filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the same.

Momentive has not disclosed the number of shares that will be listed. The company will use the proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, adds The Wall Street Journal.
