GrubHub Raises $50M In VC Funding

GrubHub, a web and mobile service that connects diners to restaurants and simplifies online ordering for delivery and pickup, has secured $50 million in series E venture capital financing.

GrubHub, a web and mobile service that connects diners to restaurants and simplifies online ordering for delivery and pickup, has secured $50 million in series E venture capital financing. This investment round was led by Lightspeed Ventures. Mesirow Financial, Benchmark Capital, Greenspring Associates and DAG Ventures also participated. The funds will be used to focus on the company’s mobile development and to acquire New York–based Dotmenu Inc., parent company of Campusfood and Allmenus.
