Ecopetrol and Talisman Colombia Holdco have acquired BP Exploration Company (Colombia) for about $1.75 billion. Ecopetrol will have a 51% stake in the new company, while Talisman will control the remaining 49%. The new company has been named Equion Energia and Maria Salgar has been appointed as its president. As part of the deal, Equion will assume the interests of BP in Oleoducto Central, Oleoducto de Colombia, Oleoducto del Alto Magdalena and Transgas de Occidente.
