Westbridge Capital Partners has raised $500 million for a public markets fund, Business Standard reports. The fund will focus exclusively on taking positions in publicly held Indian companies.
The fund was set up by KP Balaraj, Sandeep Singhal, SK Jain and Sumir Chadha, the four founding partners of WestBridge. The partners left Sequoia India to create the new fund.
