BlackRock Alternative Investors has appointed Ingo Heinen as managing director, HFMWeek reports. He will lead the Alternative Investment Strategy Group (AISG), a unit that works with the client coverage and portfolio management teams to expand BlackRock’s alternative investment solutions.

Based in London, Heinen will report to Rick Arney, head of hedge funds and AISG at BlackRock. Previously, Heinen worked at Royal Bank of Scotland where he managed institutional equity derivatives and fund-linked sales for Germany and Austria.
