Exponent To Buy £200M Premier Assets

Premier Foods will sell its meat-free businesses to private equity firm, Exponent.

Premier Foods will sell its meat-free businesses to private equity firm, Exponent, Financial Times reports. Exponent will buy the businesses, including Quorn, for £200 million.

Premier put the assets on sale as part of efforts to cut debt in October 2010. Nestlé had also bid for the Premier Foods’ businesses. Exponent, formed by a team from 3i, owns Dreams, the bed company.
