Empresa de Energia de Bogota (EEB) is looking to raise $515 million through a sale of new shares, The Wall Street Journal reports. The plan, approved by the Colombian state-run power company’s shareholders, is still being reviewed by its board of directors
The proceeds from the share sale will finance a part of EEB’s planned $956 million expansion projects. The share issue will represent a 7% stake in the company.
