The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) has selected William Driedzic as a member of its board. He is currently the tier I Canada research chair in marine bioscience at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Driedzic has also been vice president of academic and research at Mount Allison University and director of the Ocean Sciences Centre at Memorial University. He has also served as director of AquaNet, a network of centers of excellence in aquaculture.
