French private equity firm, Chequers Capital, is raising a fund worth €850 million, Financial News reports. The former arm of European buyout firm Charterhouse started raising the fund in February 2011.
MVision Private Equity Advisers is the placement agent of Chequers. The firm previously raised €600 million for a fund in 2006.
