Banco de España has ordered Barclays, Deutsche Bank and 10 other banks to inject additional capital to central bank’s new capital requirements. Under the regulations, fully listed banks must meet an 8% core ratio, while privately held banks’ ratio is 10%. This means Barclays will need to add €552 million ($765 million) and Deutsche Bank €182 million ($252.25 million) to reach the standard.
