UniCredit Picks Three For Pioneer Review

UniCredit has selected three potential bidders to review the financial data of its unit, Pioneer Global Asset Management.

UniCredit has selected three potential bidders to review the financial data of its unit, Pioneer Global Asset Management, Bloomberg reports. The Italian bank discussed a possible partnership for Pioneer with at least seven firms and picked firms, including Paris-based Natixis and Amundi, an asset-management venture of Credit Agricole and Societe Generale. The non-binding offers of the three bidders mostly involve shares, while the bank may let additional bidders carry out due diligence on Pioneer if they improve their proposals. Minneapolis-based money manager and insurer, Ameriprise Financial, may also place a bid for Pioneer.
