AdvisorShares Investments has entered into a partnership with Commerce Asset Management, a subsidiary of Consulting Services Group. The sponsor of actively managed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has formed the partnership to develop an actively managed ETF.
The deal licenses AdvisorShares to utilize Markov Processes International‘s (MPI) patented Dynamic Style Analysis technology to outperform the majority of the long/short equity hedge funds. Long/short equity hedge strategies look to outperform traditional long-only equity strategies with lower risk by utilizing their ability to seek alpha through stock selection, leverage and timely shifts in market exposures.
