Martin Currie’s Absolute Return China fund manager Chris Ruffle has stepped down from his position. James Chong, investment director for China, will now co-manage the fund with current portfolio manager Shifeng Ke, adds Financial Times. John Pickard, Martin Currie’s head of investment, will also assist in the transition of the management of affected portfolios. Ke joined Martin Currie’s Asia team in 1997 and, until 2002, co-managed the China Heartland Fund.
