EIB Lends €150M For Polish Gas Project

The European Investment Bank has granted a €150 million loan for the construction of a gas transmission network in Poland.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a €150 million loan for the construction of a gas transmission network in Poland. The proceeds will be used to fund the construction of two sections of a natural gas transmission system in north-west and central Poland.

The facility will enable optimum usage of gas storage facilities and aid gas transmission from the planned LNG terminal at the Baltic Sea port of Swinoujscie. The project consists of the construction of two high pressure sections of gas transmission pipeline.
