Ireland’s National Asset Management Agency says it will register thousands of development land loans it obtained from banks with the Property Registration Authority so that the ownership of the properties will be known. NAMA has had to hire additional staff to handle the influx of new registrations, in addition to some 20,000 smaller loans announced earlier, a move that will put even a greater strain on the agency’s resources and open it to outside scrutiny.
