Brasil Foods has bought the controlling stake of Argentina’s Danica group in partnership with local poultry producer Avex, Reuters reports. Brasil Foods had acquired a share in Avex, with the help of which it then picked the Danica controlling stake. The acquisitions amounted to $150 million in all. The deal includes a project to expand Avex and Danica’s production units and distribution capacity. The aim is to create a big food-exporting base in Argentina.
