The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed David Blass as chief counsel and associate director for its trading and markets division. The office offers legal and policy advice to the commission in setting up rules on matters affecting broker-dealers and the operation of the securities markets. Blass currently serves at the SEC as associate general counsel for Legal Policy, where he offers advice to the commission. He has formerly also served as special counsel in the asset management group at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.
