Instinet Inc., a global leader in electronic trading and agency-only brokerage services, has released the 3.10 version of its execution management systems (EMS) Newport. Instinet’s premier trading platform serves as the primary gateway to the firm’s full suite of electronic trading tools, including the Execution Experts algorithmic trading suite and Insight transaction cost analysis platform.

Key enhancements to the multi-asset, broker-neutral system include additional visualization tools within Insight’s destination analysis “heatmap”, Instinet’s proprietary Complex Event Processing technology integrated more closely with the application and incorporation of analytics columns within Newport’s inter-listed trading capabilities. An enhanced blotter registration process and Targeted Linking functionality has also been added to the new version.
