Wedbush Securities, Los Angeles-based full-service investment firm, has appointed Stephen Strobel and Matthew Bonnerup to manage its newly created agency trading and sales group. Strobel has been named managing director and Bonnerup has been recruited as senior vice president. Both will work from the firm’s Minneapolis office.
Strobel and Bonnerup will be in charge of trading and sales of GSE-backed securities and treasuries. Most recently, the duo was with U.S. diversified financial services company, the Royal Bank of Canada, where Strobel was director of institutional agency trading and Bonnerup was vice president.
