Twitter is in discussions to acquire Tweetdeck for around $50 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. The social media company is looking to take over Tweetdeck as part of its plan to increase the micro blogging platform’s appeal. The California-based company completed a financing at the end of last year, which valued it at around $4 billion. Twitter itself has also been the subject of takeover rumors with both Google and Facebook eyeing the company, adds The Guardian.
