BNY Mellon has acquired Chicago-based Talon Asset Management’s wealth management operations. The financial terms of the transaction, which does not include Talon’s private equity and hedge fund businesses, were not disclosed.

The investment management firm has appointed managing director Michael DiMedio as regional president of the wealth manager’s first Chicago office. DiMedio, who has been based in the firm’s Mid-Atlantic region, will continue to serve on the board of BNY Mellon Trust of Delaware.
