The private equity platform of Square 1 Bank has appointed Will McLean and Andreas Ritter as independent members of Square 1 Ventures investment committee. McLean is vice president and CIO of Northwestern University, responsible for managing their $6.5 billion portfolio. He was earlier senior managing director for asset and investment management at the John D & Catherine T MacArthur Foundation and an investment officer for The Duke Endowment. Ritter is managing director of investment advisory firm, ARICO, and earlier ran $2 billion in private equity investments for the Duke endowment.
