Colombian power generator, Emgesa, has raised $400 million in a sale of bonds, The Wall Street Journal reports. The bonds are denominated in Colombian pesos and payable in dollars. The notes carry a coupon rate of 8.75%, and are due to mature in 2021. The Colombian power generator intends to use the proceeds to fund investment to increase its electricity generation capacity and refinance debt.
