Barclays Wealth has appointed Markus Stadlmann to head its discretionary investment management, Financial News reports. He will work under Thomas Rostron, head of asset management at the U.K. wealth manager.

In his new role, Stadlmann will cover the group’s ultra and high net worth businesses with the intermediary unit, adds Citywire. Stadlmann, who will also form part of Barclays’ investment committee, was most recently working as CIO of the trust business at Harald Quandt.
