The European Commission has approved funding worth €244 million for 183 new environmental projects, Business Green reports. The selected green projects are a part of the latest tranche of the European LIFE+ program.
The funding will be used by every member state of Europe and support a wide range of different initiatives, including nature conservation, climate change, clean technology and environmental policy, information and communication projects. The plan, which was launched in 1992, represents an investment of €374.4 million, of which €166.4 million has been given by the European Union.
