Duke University Gets $350M Investment

Duke University received $349.7 million of investments in fiscal year 2010-11.

Duke University received $349.7 million of investments in fiscal year 2010-11, News & Observer reports. The commitment is a combination of new gifts and new multiyear pledges and is 45% more than the previous year.

The Duke Endowment committed over $40 million to support the medical center, faculty initiatives, outreach programs and other priorities of the university. The trust, established by university founder James Duke, is seeking to contribute $80 million over several years.
