David Batchelor has joined Marsh Inc., insurance broker and risk adviser wholly owned by Marsh & McLennan Cos., as head of its international division. The division consists of all of Marsh’s operations outside North America including Europe; the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia and the Latin America and Caribbean and Pacific regions.
Reporting to Peter Zaffino, president and CEO of Marsh, Batchelor will be based in New York. He was selected CEO of Marsh’s EMEA region in April 2008 and will continue in the position through 2011. Batchelor started his career with Bowring Inc., acquired by Marsh & McLennan in 1980.
