BlackRock has reported that assets managed in Canadian exchange-traded funds (ETFs) rose by 0.4% in May to $41.4 billion, Reuters reports. Canadian ETFs saw overall net inflows of $171.34 million in May, as compared to net outflows of $715 million in April.
The commodity ETFs increased by $150.91 million, representing a 5.4% hike in assets, while inverse ETFs fell by $180.47 million for a 22.4% decline in assets. BlackRock’s Canadian iShares business had $29.56 billion in assets under management in May, as compared to $30.09 billion a month earlier.
