iShares is planning to launch a new China index fund, Index Universe reports. The exchange-traded fund firm has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to market the portfolio. The iShares FTSE China A50 Index Fund will provide investors indirect access to China’s A-Shares market of mainland companies with the use of derivatives. The fund will be based on the FTSE China A50 Index, a benchmark of the 50 most liquid companies in mainland China, whose stocks are quoted in yuan.
