One Equity Partners is seeking to invest $500 million in Brazilian companies in the next two years.

One Equity Partners is seeking to invest $500 million in Brazilian companies in the next two years, Bloomberg reports. The buyout arm of JP Morgan Chase is in discussions to invest in eight industrial, consumer-goods and energy companies.

The New York-based company did not disclose its possible acquisition targets. The private equity fund was set up in 2001 and has $8 billion of liquidity.
