AdvisorShares is set to market the STAR Global Buy-Write ETF, Index Universe reports. The fund is an actively managed fund-of-funds that integrates a portfolio of ETPs with call options on its underlying securities to generate “repeatable returns.”

The product will comprise a portfolio of ETFs and ETNs that are gathered based on the combination of risk, return and their correlation to each other. It will also sell call options on its portfolio holdings. The ETF will hold a long position in shares of its underlying ETFs and write a call option on that same asset.
