Italian Clearing Unit Boosts LSE Revenue

The London Stock Exchange reported that revenue from its central counterparty operations grew by more than 300% in the last quarter of 2010 thanks largely to investment funds held by Cassa di Compensazione e Garanzia, its Italian clearing business, reports Financial News.

On the down side, LSE said revenues from capital-markets and post-trade services fell by 4% and 7%, respectively.
