Private equity firm, Terra Firma, is seeking to acquire Chaucer Holdings, Financial Times reports. The Lloyd’s of London insurer has also received an offer from a consortium of Goldman Sachs Private Equity and TPG. Chaucer has appointed Kinmont Advisors and Willis Capital Markets as advisors. Pamplona, a London-based private equity firm backed by Russian investors, owns a 9.9% stake in Chaucer and is interested in acquiring a further 6% stake previously owned by Och Ziff.
