Sweden To Join TeliaSonera Share Buyback

Sweden is planning to participate in TeliaSonera $1.54 billion buyback program.

Sweden is planning to participate in TeliaSonera’s $1.54 billion buyback program, Reuters reports. The government, which currently owns around a 37.3% stake in TeliaSonera, plans to further sell its stake.

The government last sold an 8% stake in the Stockholm-based telecom company in May 2007. The government will retain its overall ownership at the same level in the Swedish company.
