Nomura Names EMEA Fixed Income Head

Nomura has appointed Des Supple as head of fixed income research for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Nomura has appointed Des Supple as head of fixed income research for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Risk.net reports. Based in London, he will succeed Jim McCormick, who is leaving to join the buy-side.

Supple joined Nomura in May 2009 and was most recently working as head of rates strategy in Asia, excluding Japan. Before that, he was co-founder of LDFM Asia, a hedge fund focused on foreign exchange, rates and macro strategies and has also worked with Barclays.
